Very good book.

When I received this book, I was surprised and even a bit disappointed at first. I was hoping it would contain more content. MARIA turns out to be more of a pictorial than a book per se, but nonetheless, it is a great collectors item and the content is exquisitely simple and eloquent. Each page is printed in 4-color and has a full color hard-cover in addition to the full color book cover. It is actually a very expensive book to print - certainly a great value for the price. To sum it up, the book is beautifully delicate and emits a devout love for our Blessed Mother Mary.

This book is really worth purchasing. Elegantly compiled with wonderfully crisp clear pictures of the blessed Mother Mary with infant Jesus. The text compliments the pictures and reading is relatively short and simple. I consider this a great item added to my personal "spiritual books" collection.

I highly recommend this as a gift for all those who love the Blessed Mother. I proudly display mine as a coffee table book and plan to gift my Catholic friends with this for Christmas.

A truly beautiful presentation with inspirational text by Pope Benedict. I was so impressed that I bought extra copies for Christmas gifts. This book would enhance any library.

The first page of this book alone blew me away. It is the most beautiful, yet easy to understand, piece written about Mary I have ever encountered. Benedict taks a complicated subject like Mary and explains her in a straightforward way that reaches to our heart. I teach theology to teenagers and I work with both Catholics and non-catholics in study groups. I have shared passages with each group and all thought the passages were beautiful. I highly recommend.

Was disappointed at first as it wasn't quite what I was looking for but after reading a lot of the text by Pope Benedict, I am well pleased witht the book, even tho a lot of the artwork is not to my taste. Still I give it a 5 rating.
